A number of paper clips of various colors coated in a mixture of plastic and rubber. A pupil, no one appears to remember which one, mentioned it was impossible to think about six million of anything, not to mention Jews who died in the Holocaust. That led by some means to the notion of gathering six million paper clips in a single place at one time, as a tribute to the victims. The undertaking began slowly, with a clip here and a clip there, and 50,000 from one donor, and then the Washington Publish and Tom Brokaw acquired on the story and by the time Whitwell’s third group of eighth graders have been operating the venture, that they had 29 million paper clips definition in spanish clips.
That could be a story just like the one about the kid who was dying and wished to gather enterprise playing cards, and obtained thousands and thousands and tens of millions as his desperate mother and father announced he had recovered and not needed extra playing cards. However the Whitwell story goes to a different stage, a touching one, as the scholars make new associates by way of their challenge. Two of them are Peter and Dagmar Schroeder, White Home correspondents from Germany, who visit the city and write about it. Many extra were Holocaust survivors, who as a group visited Whitwell for a pot-luck dinner at the Methodist church, classes at the college, and a community reception.
